No. LogVey is built for receiving sites — the sites that accept waste deliveries. You do not need a carrier account or carrier licence to log arrivals and submit to Defra. The carrier's details are entered at the gate.

LogVey is integrated with the Defra Digital Waste Tracking API and is listed on the Defra software provider register on gov.uk. We are not endorsed or accredited by Defra — we are an independent software provider that has passed all Provider Acceptance Testing requirements.

Receiving sites in England must submit waste tracking data digitally from October 2026. Waste carriers face the same requirement from October 2027. LogVey is built for the receiving site mandate first.

LogVey shows you the exact error from Defra and highlights which field needs correcting. You can edit the arrival and resubmit. The record is not saved until Defra confirms it — so you always know the submission status.

EWC stands for European Waste Catalogue. Every type of waste has a 6-digit code (e.g. 20 03 01 for mixed municipal waste). Defra requires an EWC code on every submission. LogVey includes all 841 UK EWC codes with a searchable picker — no need to look them up separately.

Yes. LogVey has three team roles: Admin (full access), Manager (dashboard and logging), and Gate Operator (log arrivals only). You can invite your team from the Team page. Pricing is per site, not per user — so there is no extra cost for adding team members.
